The birds look like Alpine Chaffs...not sure if any birds look that way in prehistoric times. Good use of colours, a little more details/contract on the foreground would have helped to create some depth.
But well there's no way you can do fancy tricks with real media I always find it is much harder to create more contrast with pencils.

By the way it was dobe using oil pastels mostly.
And jawine: the birds there are supposed to be vultures, like these: http://www.fotolibre.org/albums/mapamundi/peru1998/colca/f-colca-condor-c03.jpg http://www.tunqui.com/condor/condor.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/01/TurkeyVultureInFlight.JPG/200px-TurkeyVultureInFlight.JPG http://www.fotonatura.org/galerias/fotos/usr131/_MAE3296_600.jpg , there was several species of giant american vultures in the past like Teratornis and Argentavis, their wingspans used to be huge but their bodyshapes were very alike

A few little things here and there bug me, but considering the short time you had I think you did well.
